KMAN – One track review – Lock n Load

It’s quite hard to judge a band by one song, one song seems to be the only material available from KMAN for now, and so one song it will be! The track is called ‘Lock n Load’ and whether it’s simply just poor recording quality or an intentional act, the song has a very authentic and raw feel to it. If the upcoming album is going to have the same sense of roughness overall, it would make for an interesting ‘bringing back old school’ approach towards KMAN’s debut. KMAN AKA Caiman is a solo project by Spanish musician Kerman Rodrigues.  With his first album in production, there is mentioning on KMAN’s Reverbnation profile that the album will also be available for free when launched in April.

Lock n Load’s composition seems to have been kept simple and to a minimum with an unvaried drum rhythm and a single suitable breakdown that leads into a reliable guitar solo. Kerman’s vocal work seems to go well with the genuineness of the track and I can but only hope that the forthcoming debut album will stick true to the prospects introduced to me in ‘Lock n Load’. In fact, if the intro growl will be utilized more often and during the heaviest moments in new songs, I’d probably have a Screamgazm. I look forward to reviewing the album in a few months’ time.  It will put a rest to this sudden stir of curiosity!

Instigator of the Headbang Army. Scream's potty mouthed behaviorism often and undeniably gets overlooked thanks to his prodigal taste in heavy metal. A Screamgazm is something Scream only experiences when epic screams and deep growls are present.

Thanks for the review, please remember that Lock ‘n’ Load is a demo preview, the final song record will have more drums variatons, far better recording quality, but still the brutal riffs and energy that this demo does. Thanks!!!
